Access by car

"Rainbow Line Summit park" is placed on the way of the Mikata Five Lakes toll road ('Rainbow Line'). Please get off at Hyuga tollgate (from Mihama-cho side) or Umiyama tollgate (from Wakasa-cho side).

About Rainbow Line

Rainbow Line was completed in May 1968 to lead to the top of Mt. Baijodake as the best viewpoint of Mikata Five Lakes. The total distance of Rainbow Line is 11.24 kilometers.

Rainbow Line toll fee

Rainbow Line is a motorway. The toll fees are charged from 1,040yen to 4,000yen depending on the size of vehicle.Bicycles or walking are not allowed to pass. Motorbikes over 50cc are charged 730yen.

Entrance fee

The Summit park Entrance Fee(*including a round trip fare by Lift or Cable Car)
Adult: 800yen
Child: 600yen (aged 6 years to Junior High School students or 15 years)
Disabled discount fare: 600yen
Group discount (over 30 people): 700yen per person
